Today, we’ve got a big announcement for all our users!
We’ve been working hard to bring you a new updated version of Formidable before the year’s end. Now we’re pleased to say that Version 3.04.03 is now live. This update makes add-ons simpler to download and use.
In today’s post, we’ll be talking a bit about what this update means for you, and how you’ll benefit from the changes we’ve made.
Simpler method to download add-ons
Our focus with this version has been to simplify the process of using and downloading add-ons to your WordPress site.
Add-ons can now be easily downloaded and activated directly through the Formidable > Add-ons page. On this page, you will be able to download and activate any add-ons included in your Formidable Pro license with just a simple click.
With our simplified structure, you can now see at a glance which add-ons are included with their Pro license. You will even be able to update an add-on if it’s disabled or not active on the main site, if you use a multi-site network.
Streamlined license key system
In the past, our users have needed separate licenses to use different add-ons. This led to a bit of confusion over which license key was needed to access each add-on. In some cases, users couldn’t get new updates, which led to some understandable frustration.
So, we set to work trying to make everything a bit simpler, with fewer complications getting in the way of you using all the great integrations.
All you’ll need is one license key in order to download all the add-ons included with your license package. Needing only one license key will save you time from having to work out which key is needed for which add-on.
A separate license key will only be needed for those with grandfathered accounts that have any separate add-on licenses.
We hope this will help to reduce any confusion and make using Formidable a seamless and simple experience.
Speedier downloads
Another key feature is that the speed of downloading add-ons has been improved. The overall speed of your plugins page on your Wordpress site has improved as well. This means less strain on our website, and faster loading for you.
Updated plugin structure
Back in the version 3.0, we separated the free and pro versions into two separate plugins. The idea behind this was that this would solve issues with auto-updates and take extra steps out of the installation process.
Over the next month or so, we will no longer be offering the nested version updates.
When we stop offering the old update format, the free version will be installed if your site is still running the nested version. A link will then show at the top of the page with the option to install Formidable Pro. The new version, 3.04.03, will still be able to install the Pro version separately, to prevent the need for manual attention.
Do you have any questions about our new update? For more information, you can take a look at the Changelog for a breakdown of all the changes.

I don't like that Wordpress now shows that I have 12 updates that need to be installed, and the only way to clear that notification is to install a bunch of Formidable add-ons that I don't need.
Is there any way for you to change it so only the add-ons that I have installed will show notifications when updates are available?

Can you open a ticket in our help desk - we have a fix for this included in our next release, but also a solution to tide you over...

Hello,
I think we have a JS error related to Stripe addon, we are not using this payment feature (PayPal instead). Currently Stripe is installed and active, how do we deactivate and uninstall Stripe? I need to debug this site for this error possibly related issue.
