Use this hook to save a file online instead of downloading the file when an export View link is clicked. The file will be saved with the name you set in the hook. This filename will also be used when CSV exports are saved to the server automatically.
Usage
add_filter( 'frm_export_view_csv_filename', 'frm_change_export_filename', 10, 2 ); function frm_change_export_filename( $filename, $view )
Parameters
- $filename (string) -- the default filename
- $view (object) -- the View object
Examples
Rename CSV export and save on server when Export to CSV download is clicked
You can use default features in the Table View to CSV Add-on to automatically save CSV exports on your site. Sometimes, though, you may want to save a CSV export at a time of your choosing. With this code example, when someone clicks on an Export to CSV link for the specified View, the CSV export will be saved online instead of downloaded to the person's computer. The filename will be saved as awesome_file.csv. This name will also be used for automatic exports.
add_filter( 'frm_export_view_csv_filename', 'frm_change_export_filename', 10, 2 );
function frm_change_export_filename( $filename, $view ) {
if ( ! isset( $view->ID ) || $view->ID !== 74 ) {
return $filename;
}
return 'awesome_file';
}
- Swap out 74 for the id of your View.
- Using this hook converts the export to CSV link from downloading to saving on your server. Note: if you want to change the filename of a download, you can use the filename setting in the View builder.
- The extension ".csv" extension will be added by the plugin. You just need to return the name without the extension in your function.
- The new filename will be used for all CSV exports for this View, both automatic and exports created when an export link is clicked.
